About

Peter Enriquez is a multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer, and producer living in Brooklyn, NY.  Primarily a guitarist, Peter has performed with various artists throughout the country and internationally in a variety of styles ranging from pop to jazz and everything in between. In addition to NY based bands and musical projects, he's also shared the stage with famed artists such as Ira Coleman (Herbie Hancock, Sting), Eric Krasno (Soulive, Lettuce), Theo Katzman (Vulfpeck), Rashawn Ross (Dave Matthews Band), Barry Harris, Jimmy Heath, Pedrito Martinez, Descemer Bueno, and Melissa Aldana among others.

He became increasingly more involved in audio engineering and music production in college, and in 2013 started a production team based out of Providence, RI with bandmate and friend, Grant Meyer, called Cookie Thief. In the following years this partnership grew, and in 2018, Peter and Grant opened a full service recording studio in Brooklyn called Short Stack NY where Peter holds the title of Chief Engineer and co-founder.

Peter's own R&B/Hip-Hop collective, Honeytrap, holds a residency at the famed Arlene's Grocery, where they organize Thursday nights every week and hold an open, fully improvised hip-hop jam session at midnight. Honeytrap recently recorded their first project, a live studio video album intercut with documentary footage from the jam session, and interviews from various musicians, audience members, and members of the band. This project is slated for release in Fall 2019.

Peter is a graduate of Brown University with a Bachelor of the Arts with Honors in Music and New York University with a Master of Music in Jazz Performance.
